And she won't be useless for long. Once she wakes up into reality from sheltered dream and sees the world and family as they are, she becomes second most useful side character in story so far (the one who is more useful was only shown for about 3 seconds so far)

Don't know about this in animation, but in novel she quickly sobered up and grown up while losing everything cocky and childish about her. As soon as she saw that world in family is not all roses like she imagined, instead it is absolute shithole.
